Sommer has been working at Indiana Rug Co for quite some time now. She works in the custom rug and, upholstery department, and she runs the company website. Sommer is married and runs a zoo. Curious about the big poofy pillows illustrated in fairy tale books, I went searching for the source of ‘the poof.' I found magic carpets, mystical chairs and mattresses and then discovered the Moroccan Pouf. They were basically used for storing extra clothes and always made out of beautiful patterns, leathers, tapestries. The ‘modern poof' was born. A magical little poof used as an ottoman, table, or pillow. Created in several shapes & sizes offered in a variety of colors and a mixture of patterns and texture.
The construction of the poof is rather simple. First, we select the finest material with our favorite designs on them. The material may range from suede to cotton to heavy weight upholstery fabric. Next, we make our poofs ‘poof' by stuffing them with fiber. All of the poofs are then sewn up and are ready to go. Every poof you see on this site is handmade and hand sewn.
